Kay Lee Roast Singapore
Have you heard about the owner offering to sell the roast meat recipe and store for S$3.5million? If I had that kind of money, I would buy it; confirm good investment. The shop space is really old school, it feels like we’ve been teleported to Johor. We’ve been here twice and both times, there’s always a long queue during lunch. Most people buy take away, and it should not be difficult to find a table.

We could not get enough of the char siew & sio bak (叉烧烧肉) and we even got a friend to join us for lunch on our 2nd trip. We all agreed that the char siew 叉烧 is their signature dish. The char siew is so fatty, it melts in your mouth. The sio bak skin is so crispy and it’s so shiok to devour it. Yes, we polished everything off the plate even though it was so sinful.

Kay Lee Duck Singapore
The roast duck is good with the sauce. It can be a little bit too dry on its own. The sauce is not overly sweet, and it goes very well with the rice. We asked for 2 extra bowls of sauce on the side!

We spent about $12/pax for char siew, sio bak, roast duck and lemon tea for 3 people. Char siew + Sio Bak comes in $15 or $20 for takeaway as well.
