How to Get to Busan<\/h1>\n

1. Gimhae International Airport<\/a><\/strong>. To get to town area, take the airport light rail transit to Sasang Station and transfer to Busan subway.<\/p>\n

2. Train<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

3. Bus<\/strong>. Take from any cities’ bus terminals. Usually ends at Busan Dongbu Gyeongnam Intercity Bus Terminal, <\/strong>where the subway Nopo Station<\/strong> is. The other possible terminal is Seobu Intercity Bus Terminal, <\/strong>also known as Sarang Bus Terminal, since it is where Sarang subway station<\/strong> is.<\/p>\n

Getting Around Busan<\/h1>\n

\"cashbeeSubway<\/strong>: Pretty extensive. Take note that if you buy Cash Bee card<\/strong> (\u20a92K) and top up, there is a discount for each journey but when I asked the station control for a refund of the balance in the card at the end of the trip, I couldn’t get the money back. (My guidebook says you can try and make a trip to Pusan Bank and see if you can get balance back but is it worth the effort?)<\/p>\n

Because it is difficult getting a refund, the 1-day metro ticket<\/strong> (\u20a94K), unlimited rides, is more worth it.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Where to Stay in Busan<\/h1>\n

1. For tourists who are into sightseeing and shopping like me, the best place to stay is around Seomyeon Station<\/strong>. This is because it is the intersection of two major subway lines (lines 1 & 2) where you can access to all tourist attractions. Lots of shopping, cheap food and college students at Seomyeon.<\/p>\n

2. For the glamorous, young and beautiful who likes clubbing and suntanning, aim to stay around Haeundae Station<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Review of Hotel Angel<\/a><\/h1>\n

Extremely convenient. Just a 10-minute walk from Seomyeon Station<\/strong>, near clubs and cheap restaurants. One of the main shopping districts, lots of young people. It is so happening you can see youngsters dancing on tables along the pavements on weekend nights. Near Lotte Shopping Center. For such a superb location, it’s affordable at \u20a950K a weekday night\/ \u20a955K weekend night<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The room is a little tired but clean, spacious and adequate. Breakfast is provided<\/strong>. My Busan friend informed me the Western restaurant<\/strong> at the hotel lobby is famous. Overall, the hotel is lovely and value for money. I was very relieved I picked this excellent hotel.<\/p>\n

How to Get to Hotel Angel
\n<\/strong>Seomyeon Station Exit 2. On the third street, turn left. Then count again, on the third street, turn right.<\/p>\n

\"Boong-uh
\nOn the way to Hotel Angel, there is a shop selling <\/em>boong-uh bbang. Buy it! The red bean squirted out of the eggy waffled fish on first bite.<\/em><\/p>\n

Review of 9 Hotel<\/h1>\n

\"9<\/p>\n

I flew out of Busan to Jeju for two days. Then I flew back on the 2nd night and stayed at Busan. This was because I had to take a bus the next morning at Busan’s Sarang Bus Terminal<\/strong>. 9 Hotel is very convenient, a 3-minute walk from Sarang Subway Station<\/strong> and 1-minute walk to Sarang Bus Terminal. <\/b>Lots of shopping and food around the area.<\/p>\n

\"Hotel<\/p>\n

A boutique hotel<\/strong>, it’s really more of an airport hotel than a hotel in the city. The room is new and spacious with a huge bathtub. Love the eclectic decor, a pirated gigantic wallpaper of a Western, The Good, The Bad and the Ugly,<\/em> with animal-print motifs. \u20a960K a night. No breakfast. All in all, a lovely hotel.<\/p>\n

How to Get to 9 Hotel
\n<\/strong>Sarang Station Exit 5. Turn left at the first street and then walk straight about 50m. 9 Hotel is on your right.
