We ordered <strong>waffles<\/strong> ($5), with a scoop of <strong>Sea Salt Caramel ice cream<\/strong> ($3.80). It reminded me of <a href=\"https:\/\/rubbisheatrubbishgrow.com\/zh\/2014\/02\/12\/hatter-street-singapore\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hatter Street Caf\u00e9\u2019s Whoaffle<\/a>, but Shrove&#8217;s waffle is full size, and it\u2019s $0.10 cheaper. I wasn&#8217;t exactly blown away by the waffles, probably because I had something similar previously. The owner of Shrove told us that it takes them 3 hours to make the batter! The ice cream was OK only, texture was too smooth, scoop was smaller than other ice cream parlours. We had a sniff at the <strong>Melon &amp; Mangosteen tea,<\/strong> and it smelled really good. I would have ordered tea if I had had my caffeine fix in the morning, but I was totally crashing and needed coffee. We were told that the <strong>beans are award winning beans from Italy, and it took the owner 6 months to find them<\/strong>. I had <strong>caf\u00e9 latte<\/strong> ($4.50) which was really aromatic and smooth. It didn\u2019t leave a strong aftertaste, which was good.<\/p>\n<p>I will come back for the coffee since they have the most decent coffee in Toa Payoh.
