\nShouldn’t it be Sabio by the Docks? But whatever the name, the eclectic decor<\/strong> is really cool, especially the antler chandeliers, reminding me of the awesome TV series, Hannibal<\/a>. If you choose to sit inside, when the josper grill<\/strong> fires up, the interior smells of charcoal. And naturally the highlights are Spanish tapas<\/strong> from\u00a0josper grill<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"Sabio
\nEl Cerdo<\/strong> ($21, above) is pig shoulder cooked in josper grill. It was very oily but we didn’t care because it was very delicious, tasted a little like char siew<\/em> sauce, sweet and with a nice bite. The non-josper grill item,\u00a0cava scallops<\/strong> ($16, below) in creamy white wine sauce, was nice, nothing special but nothing amiss. Ask for bread to dip in the sauce.<\/p>\n

For carbs, the paella negra<\/strong> ($25, below), or squid ink paella stuffed with seafood like fish, clams, mussels, and prawns, tasted like\u00a0mui fan<\/em>, a hawker dish. Among the paellas I have<\/a>, this won’t be my favorite, but my eating companion liked it.

The caramel lava cake<\/strong> ($15) was nice too, but I can’t help but to think it was a copy of La Cantine<\/a>, which is under the same Deliciae Group as Sabio. Concepts shouldn’t repeat.

Good ambience <\/b>(good for dates <\/b>and large groups<\/b>), nice\u00a0food<\/strong>, and great service <\/strong>with courteous, efficient, and knowledgable servers like the\u00a0Indian server, the Chinese non-spectacled guy with chipmunk cheeks, and a girl with ponytail. Kudos to them for providing such excellent service<\/strong>. Including 2 glasses of white<\/strong> sangria<\/strong> (2x$12), we spent $120 for two.<\/strong>\u00a0Costly, but what do you expect? We were by the docks<\/del> sea.<\/p>\n
