\nUnder Singapore brand, Ministry of Food, the head chef is a Korean lady. Too excited about the food, and forgot the interior shot. The restaurant was pleasantly modern and clean.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nFree flow soft drinks<\/strong>. There were 5-6 dishes of cooked food<\/strong>, including japchae<\/strong> (glass noodles), pancake<\/strong>, Korean sushi<\/strong>, etc. But I wasn’t impressed with them. The japchae was overly salty, pancake dry, potato tempura limp.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nThe bbq ingredients<\/strong> were the saving grace. About 10-12 types of marinated meat, such as beef short ribs<\/strong>,\u00a0marinated pork<\/strong>,\u00a0pork collar<\/strong>, and so on. Thoroughly marinated, tasty, but I thought some meat, like\u00a0chicken bulgogi,\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>were\u00a0overly marinated that they lost the character of the meat, and all you can taste is just marinate.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nService<\/strong> was excellent, and they offered to change our hotplate now and then. Oddly,\u00a0Daessiksin reminds me of 2D1N<\/a> and Ssikkek; it is better than Ssikkek, but not as good as\u00a02D1N. Among similarly priced Korean BBQ buffets, I still prefer\u00a0K. Cook<\/a> most of all. But Daessiksin is definitely a good second choice in Orchard if you can’t get a seat at K. Cook. Including a makguli, we spent about $32 each<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n
