Seiro is eaten by dipping the chilled noodles in a sauce; you pour the sauce over the chilled noodles for Bukkake; and\u00a0Tanemono is warm soup soba. Soba can be served with various ingredients, such as sashimi or tempura. Sometimes, after finishing the soba, the servers will pour soba-yu (water used to cook the noodles) in the bowl; this water is supposed to be full of nutrients.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Soba is one of my favorit<em>est\u00a0<\/em>Japanese food because in hot weather, it is nice to eat something cold. It is said that\u00a0we Chinese traditionally don&#8217;t like cold food&#8211;and Mr. Fitness is one of those traditional Chinese, but when I brought him to eat soba, he is a new convert. When the soba met\u00a0a creamy sauce like in <strong>Bull Run<\/strong> ($8, teriyaki chicken with soba in sesame\u00a0sauce), the soba got mushy and slightly revolting. However, the tough salmon wasn&#8217;t fresh. It was the frozen kind I bought once\u00a0from supermarket and swore\u00a0never to buy again. Wheat Baum was more delicious, but\u00a0Iki&#8217;s ingredients were fresher and had a clean bite. Mr Fitness didn&#8217;t like that it was sweet and spicy. But this Japanese dish was influenced by China&#8217;s Sichuan cuisine. Supposed to be in ramen, they used soba instead. Not peanut buttery enough.
