The Library<\/span><\/a> has Harry Potter, Bitters and Love has Thor. In my head, this conversation had happened:<\/p>\n

\"bittersMe<\/span><\/strong>: Hey Thor! What did you dress for Halloween?<\/p>\n

Thor\u00a0<\/strong>(in his sexy British accent): I was painted as an animal.<\/span><\/p>\n

Me<\/strong>: I bet you are. But you should have come<\/em> as Thor.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thor:\u00a0<\/strong>Yeah, man, just give me a hammer.<\/span><\/p>\n

Me:\u00a0<\/strong>Thor’s powers\u00a0come<\/em> from within. If you reach deep<\/em> down inside yourself, you’ll find your hammer. Or do you need help with your hammer? I volunteer as tribune.<\/span><\/p>\n

By day, the space operates as “Shoebox Canteen,” serving quick lunches to busy executives. By night, it turns into Bitters and Love, a bar with bespoke cocktails, and bar snacks.<\/span><\/p>\n

\"bittersYou can either choose from a list of cocktails, or pick an alcohol (gin, vodka, bourbon, whiskey, etc) and request for sweet\/ sour\/ refreshing\/ fruity\/ whatever.<\/span><\/p>\n

Each cocktail is about $25<\/strong>. The drinks came in adorable crockery: a martini glass with a teacup top<\/em>, a metal teapot, a drink with neon lights. The space<\/strong> was quirky, but unpretentious, cool, and comfortable. The music<\/strong> was soft, so you can hear each other talk (finally! a bar that gets it right!). And the service<\/b> was top-notched.<\/span><\/p>\n

The drinks were a bit thrifty\u00a0on alcohol, but they tasted alright. Not the best cocktails I had, but not the worst. (A street away, 28 Hong Kong St<\/a> has the best cocktails.)<\/span><\/p>\n

Given how every inch of Thor<\/del> Bitters and Love\u00a0is\u00a0perfect from the bottom<\/em> to the top<\/em>, like Meghan Trainor’s body, this bar scores, even when I didn’t. We\u00a0paid about $77 for three persons, having just a cocktail each<\/strong>, before heading somewhere else. But this is a bar\u00a0I will swing by again soon,\u00a0swing by on my\u00a0chandelier. 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3, drink. Bottoms up, Thor. I’m coming<\/em> for you.<\/span><\/p>\n
