There is much street art in Ipoh, but Mr Fitness, a native of Ipoh, said, “Weather very hot leh. Just go for the branded ones lah, the ones by Ernest Zacharevic.” Sorry, local Ipoh artists. If you find the name\u00a0Ernest Zacharevic familiar, it’s because he is also the one who did Penang’s street art.<\/a><\/p>\n

I’ve planned the walk so that you can walk from #1 to #7 without repeating the roads, seeing most of Ipoh’s Old Town. In the information below, I’ve included the street address, and the more-accurate coordinates. Just key in the coordinates in google map app on your smartphones<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\"EVOLUTIONThis is serious art, not as playful or bittersweet as the rest. It mimics the style of a Chinese ink painting, showing a tin mine. Ipoh began as a tin mining location–this fact is included in Singapore’s Secondary 2 history–hence the title of this art piece “Evolution.” Now the tin is gone, but the mining has created beautiful limestone lakes.<\/p>\n
