They try to <strong>stay clear of processed food<\/strong> when possible, and <strong>make dips and mushroom soup from scratch<\/strong>. For instance, they drizzle <strong>chilli crab sauce<\/strong> or <strong>salted egg yolk sauce on fish &amp; chips&nbsp;<\/strong>(pictured above). The salted egg yolk is the <em>gao<\/em> kind, so you can definitely taste the salted egg yolk with a tinge of sweetness. The <strong>fish burger<\/strong> ($6.90) is at once crunchy and refreshing with lettuce, and it\u2019s rare to see such a good bun being used. <strong>Lemon butter grilled fish<\/strong> ($7.90, above) is the bestseller, great for the health-conscious. <strong>Hawaiian chicken<\/strong> ($7.90) is basically the Hawaiian pizza topping on chicken&#8212;fun. For hawker Western food stalls, the sides can be really rubbish, such as a few leaves of lettuce.<\/p>\n<p>But Fish &amp; Chicks gives good quality sides. The <strong>chunky fries<\/strong> are sprinkled with their own blend of Cajun-tasting herbs and spices, and remain crispy even when left for some time. And they come with a choice of <strong>homemade dips<\/strong>, such as <strong>truffle mayo<\/strong> or <strong>wasabi mayo<\/strong>. For sides, there are also <strong>potato salad, cheese pasta, tom yam fried rice<\/strong>, etc.<\/p>\n<p>You can tell how much effort and hard work Justin and Albert put in to design a menu, elegant enough to give a variety to return often, and fun enough for both teenagers and adults. We are so lucky to enjoy these delicious food at affordable prices.
