\"regent-hotel-high-tea-review\"My friends have been high-tea-hopping on weekdays<\/em> from hotel to hotels, and we came to\u00a0Regent Hotel High Tea<\/strong>, which is at their\u00a0Tea Lounge<\/strong>. It’s very old school, almost colonial-like. A pianist plays at the lobby.<\/p>\n

\"regent-hotel-high-tea-menu\"The weekday high tea lasts for 5 hours, from noon to 5pm<\/strong>, and starts from $45++\u00a0<\/strong>and goes up to $138++ for freeflow of champagne. The basic set, which we took, consists of 5 finger sandwiches, 4 savory puffs and pies, 6 sweet pastries, and 2 scones. It also comes with 2 teas.<\/p>\n

\"regent-hotel-high-tea-price\"The scones are supposed to be their signature, but they are nothing to write home about. The Devonshire clotted cream is gorgeous, light and rich. Huccalyly was astonished, “You FINISHED the cream?” Ok, don’t get your panties in a twist.<\/p>\n

The sandwiches are nice. The best thing is probably the\u00a0satay chicken puff,\u00a0<\/strong>a smart creation. The sweets are just so-so, and perhaps the least impressive of the lot.<\/p>\n

We paid\u00a0$53 each<\/strong>, after taxes. On the whole, not bad. There are better high teas, and there are\u00a0worse.<\/p>\n
