\"\"10 a.m.<\/strong>: Rise and shine. To start the day easy, you can go to SkyAvenue<\/strong> level 4 for Ripley\u2019s Believe It or Not! Odditorium <\/strong>(strange things you can learn from the Internet, no need for a visit), Jurassic Research Centre <\/strong>(dinosaur exhibits), Zombie Outbreaks<\/strong> (haunted house) and Alive Museum <\/strong>(3D optical illusion backdrops for photo opportunities). It is suitable for families \u2013 the children can expend their energy in a relatively safe environment (apart from the zombies) while the older folks can go for a massage at Healing Touch<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

4D Trick Art Museum<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

\"\"1 p.m.<\/strong>: Catch a movie at Bona Cinemas<\/strong> that offers film screenings in IMAX<\/strong> and Gold Class with D-BOX Halls<\/strong>. I caught Alita<\/em> in Gold Class (RM50 per ticket). The D-BOX hall can only seat up to 48 people; each seat has a D-BOX motion system installed with four different levels of intensity. The seats jiggle, swivel and tilt in sync with the action sequences in the film. Such technology breathes new life into watching movies in a cinema rather than watching them from a laptop at home.<\/p>\n

\"\"3.30 p.m.<\/strong>: Late lunch at Medan Selera Foodcourt<\/strong> for some local dishes from different states in Malaysia.<\/p>\n

SkySymphony<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

4.45 p.m.<\/strong>: Look out for the SkySymphony<\/strong> show at Times Square<\/strong> (if you are lost, head towards SkyCasino <\/strong>direction), a panoramic display of music and visual made possible with three-storey high LED screens and 1,001 winch kinetic balls that synchronised perfectly to the beat. Free show.<\/p>\n

Awana SkyWay Cable Car<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

\"\"5.10 p.m.<\/strong>: You can take the Awana SkyWay<\/strong> cable car to visit Chin Swee Temple<\/strong> or at the Genting Highlands Premium Outlets<\/strong> for more shopping. We chose the latter because we are all victims of consumerism. We took the glass-floor gondola (RM18 for one-way) and were rewarded with beautiful views of the resort attractions and luxuriant rainforest under our feet. It takes about 10 minutes for a trip from SkyAvenue Station<\/strong> to Awana Station<\/strong> and vice versa.<\/p>\n

Genting Highlands Premium Outlets<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

8.30 p.m.<\/strong>: Late dinner at Motorino Pizzeria<\/strong>. Pizzas are baked to order in a kiln. We had the Pepperoni<\/strong> pizza, Amatriciana<\/strong> pizza (minced chicken with scallion), Spaghetti Pomodoro<\/strong>, Smoked Bacon and Clam Spaghetti<\/strong>, Caesar Salad<\/strong>, and Motorino\u2019s Meatballs<\/strong>. The pizzas are served in thin crusts; the toppings are simple but delicious. I find the smoked bacon and clam spaghetti tasteless though. They are better at pizzas than pastas.<\/p>\n

10 p.m.<\/strong>: If you still have energy to spare, you can head down to Level G of SkyAvenue where you can find Zouk Atrium<\/strong>. The atrium is segmented to cater to different nightlife needs: Empire by Zouk<\/strong>, a 5,000-square feet hip-hop club that keeps you up on your feet all night with renowned DJs from all over the world; RedTail by Zouk<\/strong>, a social gaming lounge with fun drinking games like Giant Beer Pong, Giant Jenga, foosball and electronic machine games; RedTail Karaoke<\/strong> for your favourite songs to croon and crow till 4 a.m.; and FUHU,<\/strong> an oriental-themed bar and restaurant for the always-hungry.<\/p>\n
