Located in Louis Kienne Service Residence, Soll<\/strong>, an acronym of Sunset On 11th floor, is open by actor Adam Chen. The cafe is a reincarnation of Park cafe at Holland Village which closed during Covid; and it serves a similar menu. Signatures include truffle Mac & cheese, low carb fried cauliflower rice with har jeong gai (prawn paste) cutlet, French toast, and blue cheese burger<\/strong> (my favourite). Prices are friendly starting from $15 to about $20 for each main. Bonus: free parking for drivers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Popular takeaway halal-certified pizza Goldenroy Sourdough Pizza<\/strong> now has a dine-in restaurant! They use a 100 year-old starter to ferment the dough (for 48 hours), which when baked with olive oil, gives awesome crispy edges. They painstakingly and manually place toppings on each slice. That’s because they see each slice as 9 different zones so when you bite at different part, the pizza will present different flavours and won’t be monotonous. There are 8 different flavours and I recommend the (1) pesto mushroom<\/strong>, (2) blue cheese<\/strong>, and (3) scallop.<\/strong> Also must try their sourdough knots. <\/em><\/strong>Be sure to eat it hot. This is one of the best pizzas you can get in Singapore right now. full review here<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Part of their Summertime Madness<\/strong> promo<\/a>, this al fresco bbq dining<\/strong> (a la carte items from $10 to $25 a plate) with free-flow Summer Sangria and Botanist Gin & Tonic <\/strong>(additional $58++) is a one-off thing. But they hold outdoor BBQ events regularly (I heard monthly) so check their website for information. The BBQ food was okay, there was a live band, but the best thing is really the vibe; it feels relaxing and comfortable to be eating outdoors amidst verdure, I didn’t want to leave. At first I worried about forgetting to bring mosquito repellent but surprisingly there were no mosquitos. I know there was none because they always bite me first, hardest, and most; I’m everyone’s favourite organic insect repellent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

GOHO, which serves modern Japanese cuisine<\/strong>, has a new summer kaiseki menu at $98, $138, $188 (10 courses), which is quite good value compared to other kaiseki restaurants. In the 10-course menu I was invited to try, the food included foie gras, engawa (flatfish tail), wagyu sukiyaki, lobster miso soup, and caviar. The food is presented prettily and tasted better than average but perhaps they are best known for their cocktail pairing <\/strong>($58, $78, $98) with the meal. They also just started a lunch menu<\/strong>: $48 (5 courses) and $88 (8 courses). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
