This year, we have eaten at about 250 eateries.<\/strong>\u00a0Thank you for those who are reading: we promise to remain honest in our reviews, regardless of whether it is a tasting or we pay ourselves. We usually pay for our food and if it is a tasting, we state clearly at the bottom of the review that it is a tasting. We’d like to thank the kind PRs who have been taking good care of us and apologize to those whom we offended unwittingly. I, Wise Guy, also like to thank the contributors, Huccalily, Mr NGFL and Chiobu. You guys are the soul and heart of our blog. Without you guys, there is no point in keeping the blog. This is a food journey to document our friendship, so let’s hope our blog can carry on for a long time. And please contribute when your work schedule allows you to.<\/p>\n

10.\u00a0Lolla<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>
\nExciting young 26 year-old chef and innovative food. A pity about the service and the lack of range of food. Might be overpriced.<\/p>\n

9.\u00a0Golden Rooster Western Food<\/a><\/strong>
\nA dingy kopitiam where flickering florescent lamps are swamped with flies, the Western food comes hot, comforting, crispy and affordable.<\/p>\n

8.\u00a0Nam Nam Noodle Bar
\n<\/a><\/strong>With two outlets at Wheelock and Raffles City, helmed by a Danish-Viet chef, this latest Les Amis venture has affordable food that gets people queuing – and it is worth the wait.<\/p>\n

7.\u00a0Saveur<\/a><\/strong>
\nIdealistic young local chefs open French-inspired food at affordable prices. The standards dip a bit the last time we went–we went three times already–because they couldn’t handle the crowd.<\/p>\n

6.\u00a0Penang Delights Prawn Mee
\n<\/a><\/strong>Perfected the art of\u00a0prawn mee<\/em> and lor mee<\/em>. We visited them three times this year and the standards were consistently excellent. At $3 a bowl, we are robbing them blind.<\/p>\n

5.\u00a0<\/strong>Amuse<\/strong>
\n<\/a>Former Les Amis chef is the consulting chef of the new menu, and helming the kitchen is his understudy, a former Les Amis sous chef. Great interpretations of international influences but may be pricey and not all dishes were orgasmic.<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0Bistro Du Vin (Zion Road)<\/a><\/strong>
\nAnother venture of Les Amis Group, the bistro serves homely, hearty and very delicious French food. Great for dates and mates.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0Blackbird<\/a> Cafe<\/a><\/strong>
\nSurprisingly, this unassuming cafe serves orgasmic food at every course, every morsel.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0<\/strong>B@Rochester<\/strong>
\n<\/a>If we, stingy buggers, are willing to part with $30 for their interpretation of okonomiyaki, which is merely flour, this has to be on the top 10 list.<\/p>\n
