The service was, although not professional, extremely polite and friendly. The minimalistic decor, white throughout, was easy on the eye. The acoustics of the place is such that sounds would reverberate and be trapped so it was extremely noisy but convivial.

We shared One Egg Soup; Beef stew with salt-and-vinegar fries; lamb burger with sour-cream-and-onion-fries; and nutella tart.

The One Egg Soup was sui generis. The battered egg tasted similar to but was better than croutons on the rather-ordinary chicken soup. The uniqueness of this dish scored a point.

The girls liked the salt-and-vinegar fries better than the sour-cream-and-onion fries but I think if you dip the sour-cream fries in mayo, the mayo brings out the sourness.

I liked the beef stew very much. It is the most expensive item on the menu ($19) so it’d better be good. It was very tender and juicy and melted in the mouth although it left a residue bovine taste.

The lamb burger was delicious too, with no mutton stink.

But the best dish had to be the nutella tart. The mousse texture was so molten I was afraid it were to liquefy through the prongs of my fork. The crust was slight salty, which complimented the sweetness of the chocolate so well like Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. But it would be too much for one person. Between the three of us, it was just right.
