If u prefer light, bland food, don’t come here.
If I describe the food in one word, it’s “happy.” It’s a celebration.
Very few restaurants with soul food in sg but Cudo is definitely one of them.
Definitely order:
Disco fries ($15, beef gravy)
Calabaza ($22, roasted pumpkin)
Truffadido ($24, yellowtail ceviche)
If u r not willing to commit, try the 2-course lunch first for $28. Very good price.
Chef Stephen Chou @cudo.sg and I were living at Elmhurst New York at the same time! (That’s where he grew up and got the inspiration for this restaurant.) I wonder if we had brushed by each other on the streets.
I very much like the modern interpretation of Latin food here. Highly recommend.
