You would think that after eating the Korean Bento set, I would be full? You’re right, but I felt like eating some more. So I bought tako balls from Isetan. The stall is just outside Sun Moulin. I bought because the person making it is a Japanese man. REMEMBER WORLD WAR II! You raped the women, I eat your balls, your yummy big balls. I love Japanese. If there is any Japanese reading this, do you want a Singaporean date?
So the tako balls were bigger than the normal ones. They were already prepared in advance, thus they weren’t very hot. But the flour-egg covering was very interesting. I thought I tasted rice in it. The covering has a FEW distinctive tastes, like you’re eating cai fan with egg in one spoon. Quite unique. But the sotong (squid, they only have one type of tako, no choice) was very tough.
6 balls for $6.50 (quite ex huh?)
8 balls for $8-something.
