Bought a deal from HungryDeals that entitles me to 30% off the total bill. HungryDeals rocks but not the restaurant.

The Katsu Don (pork-egg rice, $12.50) was of the same standard as your hawker center one. Teriyaki cod-fish ($12) was ok but it wasn’t fresh and didn’t taste creamy as cod-fish should – probably have been frozen for some time. Set of 4 skewers costs $11, we ordered 6 including chicken liver, scallops, chicken, beef, golden mushroom with bacon and pork wrapped with beef (I think). If I were kind, I would say they tasted “original” without salt. Seated at an angle, I saw how they “grill” the skewers. They actually just put the skewers in an oven, that’s why the skewers tasted bland, lacking the smoky favor of grill.

Service was ok; ambience was lacking with tacky ugly uncomfortable chairs and tables. We paid $37 after the discount. But even if I pay $20 for it, I still wouldn’t come back for such lousy quality food. Hawker centers have better food at cheaper prices.
