Famished at almost 9pm and Hachi Tei was one of the few shops still open at CBD area. There is no decor to speak of, plastic tables and chairs.
Salmon don $13. Decent, ok, average, not fantastic but not atrocious either.
But the China waitress was very polite and nice. The policy is to accept card only for more than $20 but I didn’t have cash, and she persuaded her lady-boss to allow the transaction. Her simple act made me see how strangers can be kinder than lovers. That’s what eating teaches you – helps you see the world clearer.
