Whisk and Paddle cafe punggolWhisk and Paddle took over a Chinese seafood restaurant, tore down the glass panels, took off aircons, and set up a Mediterranean-styled open-air cafe, offering a panoramic view of Punggol River.

whisk and paddle review

whisk and paddle punggolThe menu is the usual cafe fare without much fanfare. The salmon Benedict waffle ($13) was satisfactory. The mac & cheese ($12.80) in a cast iron pan was delicious, creamy, and fat with streaky bacon. But one item came much, much later than the other, so no overhead photo.

Nothing we had justified why the cafe was so crowded. Perhaps the cafe opened in a right place at a right time, catering to yuppie young couples living in Punggol. The cafe was OK but I’d rather go to Wild Oats at Punggol Park. Including a black sesame latte ($5.50) and lychee mint cooler ($6.90), we spent $45 for two persons.
