✅ Scandinavian restaurant helmed by Norwegian Michelin-starred chef Daniel Hasvold Jung-Eldøy

✅ tasting menu at $140++. A La carte available.

✅ I won’t order cod in a “normal” restaurant because it is so easy to cook at home. Ordering it is just a waste of money. But Scandinavian cuisine is famous for the seafood.

✅ The cod ($32) itself is  just normal but the magic comes from the sauce. The mash is SOOOO VERY salty BUT it works as a dish. The milky sauce with leek oil just brought everything together. No regrets ordering it.

✅ flæskestek sandwich ($28) is an open face pork sandwich with pork rinds. Like the precious dish, the pork rind is very very salty. But the pickled cabbage and the mustard really undercut the salt.

👩🏻‍🏫 I learn from this experience that Scandinavian food is very very salty and depends a lot on fermentation and curing. It is homely and simple.

💸 I like the food as a whole but because it’s very simple food, easy to cook and assemble, I feel like I can do this at home. It won’t be nearly quite as good as the restaurant but it will make do.
