🌶️ saw Ivin’s Peranakan (📍Kovan, Thomson Plaza, Binjai Park) on ig. It looks good! Here’s the highlight:
🍗 Ayam buah keluak: The chicken is a tad dry but the flavours are on point. Dig into buah keluak and eat it with rice – fantastic.
🐠 Nyonya fish head curry ($30): a bit Assam-ish, some depth. Fish is succulent. Everything’s nicely cooked. A bit expensive for half a fish head.
🥩 beef rendang ($15): aromatic. Very good. A piece or two can be a bit tough but most of them are very tender. And it’s chunky which I like.
🧧 we paid $76 for two but we over ordered. It’s possible to keep it to about $20/pax.
✅ the food is quite enjoyable, unpretentious, and good value. Would come here again.
