First time at this fancy Korean bbq restaurant. Food is not bad but service can be improved.

Signature galbisal set ($145/person) (pork rib finger cut)

Talking about service, I wish they had explained the menu to us. The menu just has “signature set” or “beef and pork set” ($169) or “beef set” ($189). If I knew that the signature set consists only pork, I would have ordered the mixed set.

I love that they do the cooking but they should also explain what cut they are serving. I ate without knowing what cut they are – I hate that, I want to know what I’m eating.
Refills (kimchi and salad) were also slow in coming.

This dessert made me so happy. The cold hawthorn drink with floating pine nuts feels good after the bbq. But it’s the black sesame ice cream (with a sesame crumble base and some frozen milk bits) that really hits the spot. It’s way better than most artisanal ice cream shops.

The food is not bad. Can come here. BUT DON’T ORDER THE SET. It’s way too expensive. I see most patrons ordering a bowl of noodles each and then order a plate of a la carte meat to share.
