I hate so many things about this ramen restaurant. I highly recommend it.

I hate the dark decor like a sleazy bar stuck in early 2000s. I can’t see a thing.

I hate the smelly oil lingering in the air.

I hate the kitchen timer which was beeping for a minute and no one switched it off.

I hate the flies.

I even hate the chopsticks. They use sticker, not paper to bind the chopsticks. So the sticker stuck to the chopsticks and my finger. It is gluey.

I hate it with my senses of smell, touch, sight, and hearing.

But perhaps the only sense that matters is taste. And the oyster-based broth ramen is fantastic. The broth is so rich, buttery, addictive I finished it to the last drop. I like my noodles a little soft, and this is fire. Even the egg is good, has a smoky aroma. 10/10

Also: shout out to the male server. He is nice and polite.

I hate a million things about this ramen restaurant but I highly recommend it for the food (and service). This is officially my top 5 ramen in Singapore. Not the front-row dining type of experience where you sit and watch every move in detail, but the kind where everything just lands in front of you fast, hot, and unapologetically good.

The other 4 are Keisuke tonkatsu king, Afuri (Yuzu ramen); Bari Uma ramen; Enishi (the broth version, not the dry mazesoba).

While this oyster ramen is certainly a contender for a fantastic solo meal, planning for a major group dinner requires a little more strategy.
