Thirsty Go Where Series continues…

Changi Airport isn’t the only place with its own control tower; there is one at Fullerton too!

Coming here puts me in a good mood because I feel like a tourist in my own country. If you sit outside, you get to see this beautiful night scene:

If you sit inside, you get to hear a pianist playing pop songs in a slow, romantic style. Quite funny. Decor is lavish. There is a diamond-shaped, solitaire decorative centerpiece hanging from the ceiling with no apparent function at all. Its function is to beautify, that’s how lavish the place is.

There are two levels inside, the top (where people walk past along the hotel corridor) and the bottom which has more privacy.

We were there on a weekday night, so it was very quiet, very romantic. We ordered a tom yam martini ($12) and red wine ($19). Thought the house red wine was expensive. The tom yam martini, however, was delicious. It is tom yam without the spiciness.

I really like this place as a bar. My friend and I had a cozy, intimate time here. Quiet, relaxing, attentive service but the servers give you ample privacy. And not at all pretentious (unless you come on a crowded weekend), because there is no one for you to show off to. If you need a quiet moment alone or with a friend, this is a good place to go.

Have a good weekend!
