View through blue tinted windows from Citadines
This is my second time in Jakarta. Still no money to stay at Grand Indonesia, the center of Jakarta. But Citadines Jakarta is slightly nearer to Grand Indonesia than Casablanca Mansions where I stayed the first time. Citadines is relatively inexpensive at about S$100 a night.
Sorry for the bad photograph, I was too lazy to get out of bed. As you can see, the room is rather new and huge. At the entrance, there is a kitchenette to cook, a mini living room, and then the gigantic bed. Toilet has no bathtub. Free wifi. Swimming pool and gym on 21st floor, overlooking the city skyline. Just downstairs, there is a shopping mall, and a building with reputable restaurants/fast food, open 24 hours.
In the morning, complimentary continental breakfast is provided at Ratatouille, on the lower floor, a French restaurant by night. Limited selection and most of them processed food such as sausage and hashbrown. But there were fried rice, and noodle, and if you want, you could ask the wait staff to cook eggs to your liking. I ate two servings of omelette every day.
This is mostly a business hotel, with many Chinese businessmen. But if you don’t mind squeezing a bit, I think it would make a great family hotel too. No complaints here, I recommend the serviced apartment highly.
