Kith Cafe Singapore started at Park Mall and has been rapidly expanding. But I can’t see the charm that attracts so many positive reviews. The ribeye ($32, above) was able, but nothing I couldn’t cook at home. And the salmon steak ($28, below) was way, way too salty. It slipped my mind but I ought to have sent it back to the kitchen. Even the truffle fries ($9.50) were dry and not truffly.

And it wasn’t cheap. We paid $82 for two. I’d have paid a little more for the neighboring restaurants had I known about the standards. But the redeeming factor was the attentive service. Though there were only 2 waitresses on a crowded Saturday, we were well taken care of. They even had time to get a bowl of water for a customer’s golden retriever.
