one man coffee thomson reviewI resisted going to One Man Coffee for the longest time, because the cafe’s focus is on coffee, and food is secondary, whereas I am a food-first person.

Salted caramel banana French toast ($10)

One Man Coffee shares the same shop space with Crust Pizza, and I guess that the small kitchen limits the amount of cooking that can be done. Most ingredients are prepared beforehand, and can be assembled quickly. Which is why bread is used for most of the menu items.

Big brekkie ($15)

The food is predictable, but rather tasty; they did the best they could. However, we are sorely disappointed over the coffee. For a cafe to have “coffee” in its name, the coffee is thin, one-dimensional, acrid, harsh, and caustic.

We spent $36 for two.
