I know many people don’t like lamb but wait! Don’t scroll yet. This silere merino lamb roam free on New Zealand alpines which is just a fancy word for mountain. They feed on thyme, berries, and tussock grass, enhancing its unique taste profile. Under the expertise of the chefs at Vue (📍OUE Bayfront lvl 19) with a good view, the lamb courses are very delicious and not gamy at all.
Food we tried:
🐠 appetiser: kingfish confit
🍅 appetiser: heirloom tomatoes
🌳 appetiser: white asparagus. Surprisingly flavourful and umami.
🐑 appetiser: Silere merino lamb ragout. Best appetiser among those we tried. The drop of tart raspberry coulis is a touch of genius. If they can make the cannelloni a bit thinner, it would be very, very good. Overall very tasty.
🍄 mushroom risotto: 🤯🤯🤯 ⭐️MUST ORDER⭐️
🌊 uni risotto: excellent too. But if I had to choose, it’s the mushroom risotto.
🐑 They also have a lamb risotto. Wish I tried that too. Sounds interesting.
🐟& 🐑: Mains. the fish (Spanish lubina) is excellent but the Silere merino lamb rack pithiver is better. The quality of lamb is fantastic, so tender. The pastry crust is a bit flat but I heard that they fix the problem, so it should be great for future diners.
🍈 &🍫desserts: melon is great but the chocolate really stands out. I don’t like chocolate in general but this one is orgasmic.
🧧3-course tasting menu starts from $128. Or early dinner (5.30pm) and late night (9.30pm onwards) from $88.
